Welcome to the first of (hopefully) many blogs focused not just on Dublin’s favourite spot for all things Boxty but also general food and tourism posts as well.
As we move into August at the Boxty House, we are delighted to launch our latest menu full of a mix of seasonal dishes and also some of our classic Boxty House favourites. We’re making a strong push towards Irish Produce as ever, with some great ingredients coming from a selection of top producers – such as Iona Farm for Vegetables, Gubbeen from West Cork with their wonderful Chorizo and Cheese, and Fergus Dunne from Pigs on the Green, whose wonderful pork is used in our Pulled Pork Boxty Dish. We’re also very proud to see the owner of the Boxty House, Pádraic Óg Gallagher, recognised for this dedication to Irish Food by being awarded the RAI Local Food Hero for Dublin award for 2016 at the recent awards.
